Two separate contractsare gained by SNC-Lavalin for Potash Ridge's Valleyfield project in Quebec, Canada, and Blawn Mountain project in Utah, US.

SNC-Lavalin under the first contract, which comprises of two distinct phases will offer engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services for the Valleyfield project.

The first phase is likely to be a 4 month process when the company will confirm engineering and process drawings, prepare equipment lists and schedule long lead items.

SNC-Lavalin will in addition give early vendor works for a 40,000t per annum sulphate of potash facility in this phase. The facility's yearly capacity can be increased to 80,000t.

Procurement and site works, which will take place once detailed engineering concludes, will be included in the project's 2nd phase.

By late-2017, the Valleyfield project is likely to be completely operational.

The company under the second contract will take on a scaling study for four months for development of the Blawn Mountain potash project to evaluate plant design and capacity.

SNC-Lavalin upon concluding the study will discuss and enter a lump sum, fixed-price EPC contract for the project execution.
