United States : Walker and Associates wins multi-year equipment supply contract from the U. S. Navy

Welcome, NC- headquartered, Walker and Associates, an Information Communications Technology (ICT) supplier, has won a multi-year equipment contract from the U.S. Navy.

The U.S. Navy has awarded 21 companies positions on a potential five-year, $750 million contract to provide command-and-control systems along with associated support services to the Department of the Navy.

The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract was awarded by The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic in Charleston, South Carolina, through a competitive procurement process.

The multiple-award, firm-fixed-price contract comes with a base term of one year and four option years. It includes the provision of imagery and video systems, intercom equipment, intelligence support tools along with tactical workstations, processors and displays, among other C2 equipment.

According to DoD, work is expected to run through June 2021, incase if all options are exercised.

Under this contract, to be performed work provides for the procurement of commercial-off-the-shelf, Command and Control (C2) equipment and related support services mainly for the Department of the Navy; although nominal support of other Department of Defense and civilian federal agencies will be accomplished as the mission allows.

C2 equipment comprises of items like video systems, imagery systems, global positioning system equipment, intelligence support systems, intercom systems, tactical displays, tactical processors, tactical workstations, etc.

Work will be worldwide, with completion scheduled by June 2017. If all options are exercised, work could continue until June 2021.
