United States : Waterloo Council approves bid to build path along Maunesha River

Publish Date : 03-Aug-2016

Waterloo Common Council has passed a bid of $162,808 to build a bike and pedestrian path along the Maunesha River, along with removing another bridge.

The building work requires to remove a bridge at 575 W. Madison St., as well as install a pedestrian path at 333 W. Madison St.

The bridge at 575 W. Madison St. is where the former RR Donnelley corporate office existed.

Before running along the river, the path will link to West Madison Street.

The contract money is part of the grant award from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation's Idle Industrial Site grant the city secured years ago.

The city had earlier issued request for bids, and Woleske Construction of Green Bay was the sole bid.
