Publish Date : 05-Aug-2016

LIMAK Construction, Turkey, has entered into a 224m contract to build a 4.5km metro line in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine.

The line will feature three stations through the central parts of the city.

Completion of construction is expected within the next five years.

Nearly around 30 construction companies had offered bids in the metro tender process, which lasted 4.5 years.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the European Investment Bank will be funding the project.

We have seen this contract as a crucial beginning for us in Ukraine, says Limak Holding board member Mr Serdar Backakisiz. Even though the construction time was set at five years, we are sure that we will complete the work earlier than this.
