United States : Jacobs wins engineering services and procurement contract for Alnylam Pharma's new Norton plant

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. has announced it was offered a contract to offer engineering services and procurement for Alnylam Pharmaceuticals' new production plant in Norton, Massachusetts.
Under deal, Jacobs is offering engineering services and procurement for the multi-product plant being built to provide RNA interference-based therapeutics for clinical and commercial needs.
The 200,000 square foot plant would be completed in 2018.
Jacobs Senior Vice President Global Life Sciences Robert Norfleet, said, "Partnering with Alnylam on this major development that enables the company to realize its goal of becoming a fully integrated, commercial-stage company is an exciting opportunity."
He added, "We're proud Alnylam turned to Jacobs as its design partner, and we look forward to delivering a state- of- the-art facility."
