Brazil : ANEEL approved two Green Projects

Two green projects, with a combined capacity of 18.96 MW, winners of the April 29 energy auction, has received nod from Brazil's power sector regulator Aneel.
Up to now, Aneel has given approval to all 29 winning projects.
The 5-MW Predilecta biomass plant, possessed by local Predilecta Alimentos Ltda would be burning wood chips as a fuel source. The second project sanctioned was the 13.96-MW Nova Guarope small hydropower plant (HPP), held by Nova Guapore Energetica SA.
The power supply for both projects is planned to being on January 1, 2021 under the auction rules.
The tender received a total of 528.9 MW of power capacity from biomass and HPP projects. The auction negotiated around BRL 9.7 billion at a average price of BRL 198.59 per MWh (USD 60.80/EUR 54.32).
