Chinese EPC & technology firm Wison Engineering has made an announcement on its receipt of a major EPC contract for a 300-kta methanol-to-olefins (MTO) unit as part of the Phase I of the 600-kta MTO facility of Connel Chemical Industry Ltd.

Wison Engineering is a leading chemical engineering, procurement and construction management (EPC) service and technology providers of China.

As part of a newly signed licensing and process design package (PDP) deal, Wison will provide its proprietary olefin separation technology to Connel.

The latest pact represents Wisons tenth such deal for the proprietary olefin separation technology.

The project is intended to capitalize on an integrated solution that taps UOPs MTO+OCP (Olefin Cracking Process) technology as well as the high recovery olefin separation technology of Wison.

As part of this deal, Wison Engineering will be in charge of the engineering, design, procurement and construction of the MTO reaction and concentration unit, the olefin separation unit, the olefin cracking unit and additional supplementary works. The project is slated to be completed in October next year.
