Publish Date : 12-Aug-2016
The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has announced that that no less than 400 bidders were competing to take part in its capital projects for this year.
Ben Iloanusi, the Deputy Director in charge of the NRC's procurement, said, "The bidders are bidding for alternative revenue streams like canteens, clubs and car parks, communication centres and others; the disposal of scrap metals and other capital projects."
Iloanusi said this at the official unveiling of documents' screening for the bidders at its base in Lagos.
He noted that the exercise was a formal opening of documents filed by bidders.
He said the corporation had not started assessment.
He added, "The management of the Nigerian Railway Corporation is officially conducting a tenders bid opening, an hour after the closing of submission of tender-bid documents."
