United States : U.S. Army awarded $85.1 million deal to BL Harbert

Publish Date : 02-Sep-2016

The U.S. Army has awarded a potential two-year, $85.1 million deal to BL Harbert International to construct a command-and-control facility for the service branchs Cyber Command headquarters at Fort Gordon in Georgia.

The ARCYBER HQ C2 facility is expected to be co-situated with an operations facility for the cyber protection team at Fort Gordon.

Lt. Gen. Edward Cardon, ARCYBER commanding general declared in 2013 the selection of Fort Gordon as the headquarters for ARCYBER in an effort to combine the service branchs cyber and network operations.

The firm-fixed-price deal was presented by the Army Corps of Engineers via a competitive procurement process with 10 offers obtained and would obligate the full contract amount from the service branchs other procurement and military construction funds for fiscal 2016 at the time of award.

The contractor is expected to execute work via May 21, 2018.
