United States : U.S. GAO rules to consider unacceptable URS Federal Services bid on Navy contract

Publish Date : 06-Sep-2016

The U.S. Government Accountability Office has proposed that the U.S. Navy should cancel a contract offered to Germantown's URS Federal Services, an arm of Los Angeles-based Aecom.

The GAO made the proposal after a successful protest of the award by Kratos Defense and Security Solutions, according to a decision made public on Tuesday.

The GAO decided that URS ignored material terms of the solicitation of contract that eventually affected the proposed cost to the government in its bid.

In its ruling, the GAO said that the URS Federal Services' bid on a Navy contract "should be considered unacceptable and may not form the basis for an award."
