United States : Jacobs Wins Contract from INEOS for LAO Unit in Texas

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. announced today it received a contract from INEOS Oligomers to design and build a large linear alpha olefin (LAO) unit at the INEOS petrochemical complex in Chocolate Bayou, Texas. The LAO unit is expected to come online in November 2018, with a production capacity of 420,000 metric tons per annum.
Jacobs is providing engineering, procurement and construction services for the new unit, which is based on proprietary and differentiated INEOS Oligomers technology.
