Australia,United Kingdom : Fulton Hogan-Seymour Whyte JV secures detailed design and build contract for Australian highway project
Publish Date : 20-Sep-2016
After a 'double early contractor involvement' (dECI) process, a partnership of Fulton Hogan and Seymour Whyte has secured the complete design and build contract for a AU$929.3m (526.6m) Australian highway project.
Queensland Department of Transport & Main Roads has offered the contract for the Caloundra Road to Sunshine Motorway part of the Bruce Highway Upgrade after working closely with Fulton Hogan Seymour Whyte Joint Venture and the Infrastructure Group from November last year.
The two teams created their tenders under the dECI process, working independently to develop workable designs.
The customer said that the interactive tender process has seen to it that the best value outcomes and most suitable design layout has been selected for the project.
The work nvolves an upgrade of the highway to 6 lanes, including key upgrades to the interchanges at each end of the project.
