Russian company Service Telecom is planning to take part in a tender to acquire the tower infrastructure belonging to mobile operator Tele2 Russia.
Service Telecom was established in 2015. Russian company City Capital owns a 42.5 percent stake in it, with Cyprus-based company Ignatson Invest holding a 35 percent stake.
Additionally, Service Telecom plans RUB 1.7 billion investment to deploy mobile connection towers in St Petersburg.
Tele2 Russia plans sale of almost all its telecommunications towers, which total around 10,000. At present, the operator is in negotiations with several consortia including infrastructure operator Russian Towers, VTB Capital, Russian Direct Investments Fund and others.
Tele2 Russia is expected to sell its towers for RUB 20-25 billion.
