Norway : Aker Solutions wins $42.6 million contract to upgrade Mongstad terminal for oil from Johan Sverdrup

Aker Solutions has won a contract worth NOK 350 million ($42.6 million) to upgrade the Mongstad terminal for oil from Johan Sverdrup from late 2019.

The scope of work inlcudes engineering, procurement and construction of a pig receiver for the oil export pipeline from Johan Sverdrup. In also includes connecting the Johan Sverdrup oil pipeline to the existing storage caverns at the Mongstad terminal.

Under this contract, the engineering work will be carried out at Aker Solutions office in Bergen, Norway.

The pre-fabrication of pipes and steel structures will be carried out at Aker Solutions yard in Egersund, whereas the bulk of the construction work will be taken up at the Mongstad terminal.
