Philippines : Philippine Airlines to procure 10 small aircraft for local expansion

Philippine Airlines has announced that it will acquire 10 small aircraft for its local expansion in 2017.
PAL president Jaime Bautista said, "We have signed a memorandum of understanding for five and options for another five. We are now finalizing the purchase agreement."
He said the firm expected to take delivery of the aircraft by mid-2017.
He also said the planes would be used in small cities in the Visayas and Mindanao.
He added, "This will replace our existing Q-400 aircraft."
PAL will use the A350 XWB (extra wide body), which seats over 300, on new routes to North America and Europe. The first A350 is slated to be delivered in 2018.
