eBid Systems has announced that it has won a cooperative purchasing deal with the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR).

This deal will allow state agencies in Texas and across the United States to dramatically shorten their time to buy eBid Systems' eProcurement software. A state agency, the Texas DIR, is committed to providing technology leadership, solutions and value to Texas state agencies.

With the collective buying power of the state of Texas on their side, the Texas DIR negotiated cooperative deals that helped Texas stae agencies save an estimated $275 million in fiscal year 2014.

The Texas DIR welcomes state agencies outside the state of Texas to take part in these cooperative contracts through an interlocal cooperation deal.

The Texas DIR has already done the work of bidding negotiating, and approving a contract with eBid Systems which will allow state agencies to meet all legal procurement needs by simply opting into Texas DIR contract number DIR-TSO-3479 and purchasing directly from eBid Systems at a discounted rate.
