Northrop Grumman has secured a 1-year, $22.8 million contract to offer engineering and logistics services to the air dominance department within the Naval Surface Warfare Cente''s Port Hueneme division.
The Department of Defense said the deal covers engineering, test and evaluation, computer programming, materials management and specified logistics support to the Aegis combat system and other weapon programs.
The company will also carry out work at shore sites, land-based test locations, shipyards and aboard ships in ports and at sea for U.S. allies and foreign military sales customers through January 2018.
The contract's base value is $15 million and it combines procurement by the Navy and the governments of Norway, South Korea, Spain, Bahrain, Italy, Australia and Japan under the FMS program.
The Navy will be obligating $60,000 in financial year 2017 "other" procurement funds at the time of award.
