Camden facility of Raytheon Co. will be sharing a contract for construction of around $304 million worth of Tomahawk missiles for the British Navy.
According to the Department of Defense, the Tucson, AZ-based company was awarded a $303,749,820 firm-fixed-price contract for the procurement of 214 Tomahawk Block IV All-Up-Round vertical launch system missiles and spares for the United Kingdom.
As per the contract, eleven percent of the work will be carried out in Camden, 25 percent in Tucson, Arizona; 15 percent in Walled Lake, 15 percent in MI; 8 percent in Gainesville, VA; 5 percent in El Segundo, CA; 5 percent in Glenrothes, Scotland; 4 percent in Clearwater, FL; 3 percent in Fort Wayne, IN; 3 perent in Dublin, GA; 3 percent in Midland, Ontario; 2 percent in Spanish Fork, UT; 2 percent in Ontario, CA; 2 percent in Vergennes, VT; 2 percent in Berryville, AR; 2 percent in Middletown, CT; 1 percent in Westminster, CO; and 7 percent at various locations within the U.S.
Completion of the work is expected in August 2018. At the time of the award, Fiscal 2015 and 2016 weapons procurement (Navy); and foreign military sales funds in the amount of $303,749,820 are being obligated, $71,085,081 of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
Under the Foreign Military Sales program, this contract combines purchases for the Navy ($300,866,222; 99 percent); and the government of the United Kingdom ($2,883,598; 1 percent).
