DynCorp International has secured a contract worth a $106.2 million to maintain and provide logistics services for aircraft and support equipment for the Naval Test Wing Atlantic.
According to the Defense Department, as per the contract, DynCorp will have to provide organizational-level maintenance for all rotary, fixed, lighter-than-air and unmanned aircraft on-site.
Work has been designed to support project testing, transient aircraft, loaner aircraft, leased aircraft and tested civilian aircraft on behalf of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division in Patuxent River, Maryland.
Additionally, DynCorp will be carrying out supportability and safety studies, off-site aircraft safety and spill containment patrols, and aircraft recovery support services.
For this contract, the U.S. Navy had received two bids and obligated $5,000 from its fiscal 2017 working capital funds at the time of award.
Completion of the work is scheduled in March 2018.
