Publish Date : 17-Jan-2017
SNC-Lavalin has made an announcement to reveal that its joint venture entity SNC-Lavalin Fayez Engineering (SLFE) has been successful to secure an extension to its existing General Engineering Services Plus (GES+) contract with Saudi Aramco.
The company has disclosed that the GES+ contract has been given a five-year extension, with options for three one-year extension.
SNC-Lavalin, as part of the contract, will get request to bid on front-end engineering, detailed engineering and project management services to support the completion of the capital of Saudi Aramco and maintaining capital programs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Onshore oil and gas production and processing facilities, building and infrastructure projects, in addition to the refining and petrochemical facilities are part of the projects.
As part of the GES+ scheme, SLFE, an engineering consultancy joint venture between SNC-Lavalin and Dr. Zuhair Fayez, has accomplished more than 200 projects during the last half-decade period, and the majority of these deals have been competitively bid in-Kingdom against other Saudi Aramco qualified GES+ contractors and implemented out of SLFEs Saudi Arabian headquarters based in Al-Khobar.
The SNC-Lavalin President for Oil & Gas Martin Adler disclosed, Saudi Aramco has been a valued client of ours for over 20 years.
Adler further said, We are honored to have this opportunity to continue our relationship as an approved GES+ contractor, and contribute to the Kingdoms program to increase local expertise and employment. We are very proud of the confidence Saudi Aramco has shown in our technical expertise, systems and project management capability, and we are looking forward to continuing our collaboration under this new long-term agreement to help Saudi Aramco achieve the objectives set out under the GES+ contract.
