A deal to develop pre-project documentation (Front End Engineering & Design) and provide services for project management and technical oversight for the Afghanistan-Pakistan stretch of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline has been signed by TAPI Pipeline Company Limited and ILF Beratende Ingenieure GmbH.
The deal was recently signed at the headquarters of the oil and gas complex of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat, and will end after the final investment decision on the TAPI project is made.
Officials of ILF Beratende Ingenieure GmbH noted the high importance of the set of activities to implement the contract.
They also said that company is prepared to meet its contractual obligations in a high quality manner and on schedule.
As of now, a complete study of Turkmenistans part of the gas pipeline route has been fully concluded. A study of the pipeline route in the territories of Afghanistan and Pakistan has already been launched.
The process of technological design as well as holding tenders to procure equipment with long lead manufacturing would soon start in these countries.
