United States : U.S. Navy offers exclusive asphalt maintenance sub-contract on ID/IQ SeaPort-e procurement program

The U.S. Navy has offered a new spot to South Florida's facilities maintenance and engineering contractor Miguel Lopez Jr. Inc. Asphalt Maintenance as Sub-Contractor on the Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity (ID/IQ) SeaPort Enhanced (SeaPort-e) procurement program for services acquisitions program.
Miguel Lopez Jr. Inc. has an exclusive teaming deal with California-based 8(a) Prime contract holder and Inc. 500 Honoree Spotswood Consulting, a major Small Business, and SBA 8(a) Certified company.
The awarded Small Business 8(a) Prime Contract holders can compete for more than 1,100 task orders and service requirements with a combined value exceeding $24 Billion over the next 5 years solicited by Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Naval Facilities Command (NAVFAC), Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP), Military Sealift Command (MSC), Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Office of Naval Research (ONR) and the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC).
Among the task orders for the 22 functional service areas within the contracts' scope to be serviced by Miguel Lopez Jr. Inc. Asphalt Maintenance are : 1. Asphalt Paving and Patching Service; 2. Pavement Rejuvenation; 3. Seal Coating; 4. Striping; 5. Drainage, Water & Sewer, and base Site Work; 6. ADA Compliance; 7. Disaster Recovery (DR) site restoration work.
The government says that as much as $5.3 billion of services will be procured per year through task orders issued under the SeaPort-e contracts.
