India: UT to Accept Tenders Over Rs 10 Lakh Online Only
Publish Date : 16-Jan-2010
The UT Administration has decided not to accept any tender above Rs 10 lakh in person from April 1 onwards. Instead, all such tenders shall be required to be submitted online through the e-procurement tendering portal, which has been readied recently. The National Informatics Centre (NIC) has already completed the final testing of the portal. The decision was taken during a meeting held on Friday pertaining to the Detailed Notice Inviting Tenders (DNITs).
It was also decided that since all the DNITs above Rs 10 lakh were being uploaded on the Chandigarh Administration’s website, the supply of forms for these ten ders shall immediately be stopped to ensure that all the bidders visited the website and downloaded the tenders from there.
