United States : General Electric Co. wins delivery order for LM2500 integrated electronic controller modification kits

Cincinnati, Ohio-based, General Electric Co., has won $8,747,720 for firm-fixed-price delivery order under previously-awarded contract for LM2500 integrated electronic controller modification kits.

Under this delivery order, the material procured will convert the LM2500 hydro-mechanical main fuel control system into a digital fuel control configuration. These kits will upgrade DDG 51 and CG 47 class ships.

Work is to be carried out in Cincinnati, Ohio, with completion expected by June 2020.

At time of award, Fiscal 2019 other procurement (Navy) funding in the amount of $8,747,720 will be obligated and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

The order was not competitively procured, in accordance with 10 U.S. Code 2304(c)(1) - only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.

The contracting activity is the Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, District of Columbia.
