Publish Date : 30-Jul-2019
SNC-Lavali Atkins business was selected as prime consultant under a $20 million USD, three-year contract with two one-year optional extensions to provide environmental support services to the Georgia Department of Transportations (GDOT) Office of Environmental Services (OES).
The new contract, which replaces a $7 million USD on-call contract that ended in June 2019, adds up to 12 staff to the eight currently working as an extension of staff to GDOTs OES. Support services scope will expand to include performing quality assurance reviews of reports and environmental documents in compliance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations; status tracking for environmental activities related to project schedules; planning and conducting environmental outreach on behalf of GDOT; coordinating with other GDOT offices and state and federal agencies; and providing other professional services as identified by GDOT related to environmental services support.
We have had the privilege of partnering with the Georgia Department of Transportation in support services roles since 2009, said George Nash, CEO, Atkins, North America, SNC-Lavalin. We are pleased to continue this partnership with their Office of Environmental Services to fulfil their support service needs and assist in delivering GDOTs work program while protecting Georgias natural and cultural resources.
