An agreement was inked between Bahrain’s Information Affairs Authority and Rotana Group for Rotana and Alarab Channel headquarters’ new location in Manama.
Chairman of Rotana Group, HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud, and the owner of Alarab news channel was present at a dinner hosted by HM King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa.
Attendees were Dr Walid Arab Hashem, vice chairman of Rotana; Fahad Alsukait, CEO, Rotana Group; Jamal Khashoggi, general manager of Alarab Channel; Yahia Al Masri, COO, Alarab Channel; Heba Fatani, senior executive manager, corporate communications department (KHC), Dr Nahla Alanbar, private executive assistant to the chairman, Hassna Alturki, department head of travel and external affairs; and Hani Agha, senior manager, travel and external affairs.
Prince Alwaleed said, \"This is the strategic step for Rotana and Alarab news channel and a giant leap for media in the region.\"
Rotana Group a media firm in the Middle East deals in the production of Arabic music. The firm is a major distributor and producer of Arabic movies with a library having over 1,600 movies and even holds leading free-to-air TV channels including LBC Group, cinema, khalijiyah, masryiah, clip and musica broadcasting the latest Arabic movies, series and music videos globally.
The Group even owns radio stations, a chain of cafes and its own magazine and employs around 1,100 employees located across the Middle East.
