Kuwait,United States : DynCorp International Awarded Kuwait Air Force Metrology Branch Contract
Publish Date : 01-Oct-2019
On June 25, the United States Navy awarded DynCorp International (DI) a sole-source foreign military sales contract for the follow-on to the Kuwait Air Force Metrology Branch (KAFMB) Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) contract. This cost-plus-fixed-fee level-of-effort contract has a one-year base and four option years, for a total of $38 million if all options are exercised. Work began on July 1.
The purpose of this contract is to provide metrology logistics, engineering, technical, calibration maintenance, and laboratory production and transportation support to the KAFMB and their customers, which include the Kuwait Air Force, Kuwait Army, Kuwait Navy, Kuwait Ministries other than Kuwait Ministry of Defense (KMOD), Kuwait government-run companies, selected civilian enterprises, United States coalition forces, and others as directed by KMOD.
We at DynAviation are exceptionally happy with the decision sustaining our long-standing support to the government of Kuwait, said Joe Ford, DynAviation president. This critically important program helps to ensure the safety of those that rely on precision as a normal daily operation.
This is a legacy program first awarded to DI in 2010.
