Poland : Anna Szymanska appointed a member of Polands Public Procurement Council

Polands Minister of Entrepreneurship and Technology has appointed Anna Szyma ska, Managing Counsel at Dentons in Warsaw, as a member of the Public Procurement Council of Poland. The Public Procurement Council is a statutory advisory and opinion-shaping body of the Public Procurement Office (UZP). Its role is to express opinions on particularly important issues related to Polands procurement system, issue opinions on the annual reports of the President of the Public Procurement Office, and define professional ethics of people and companies operating within the public procurement system.
Anna Szyma ska is one of 15 people with deep knowledge of procurement, whom the Minister of Entrepreneurship and Technology has appointed to the Council.
The appointment of Anna to the Public Procurement Council is a clear recognition of her professional achievements, top-quality knowledge and reputation in the procurement community," said partner Aldona Kowalczyk, Head of the Public Procurement and Government Contracts practice in Poland and Co-head of the practice in Europe.
In July of this year, Anna Szyma ska was appointed has been managing Dentons Defense and Security practice in Warsaw, which is part of the Public Procurement and Government Contracts practice. In this role, she consults clients in the public procurement sector in the widest sense, including entities operating in the armaments sector.
She is an attorney-at-law. For over 15 years she has been specializing in public procurement law, PPP, concessions for construction works and services as well as commercial and civil law, including contract law. She has extensive experience in representing both contractors and contracting authorities in tender proceedings, including appeal proceedings before the National Appeals Chamber and complaint proceedings before common courts. She is also a long-term lecturer in Postgraduate Public Procurement Studies at the University of Warsaw.
Anna Szyma ska is recommended as a leading lawyer in public procurement in Poland in the international ranking Chambers Europe 2019 and as a rising star in energy and infrastructure, project development, social infrastructure and municipal infrastructure by IFLR1000 2019.
