Android was first released by Google in November 2007, as an Operating System (OS) targeted at smart phones & later tablets. Android’s success has been phenomenal. In just a few years it’s become the most popular OS for smart phones, shipping on more than half of the phones worldwide at a rate of well over 100 million annually.

Android has much to offer in embedded applications beyond phones & specifically for Wi2Wi’s Non-Consumer markets.
