Adif has tendered the contract to draft the comprehensive rehabilitation project for the passenger building at Tarancon station (Cuenca) for an amount of 121,000 euros (VAT included) and an execution period of 8 months.

The tender project will include the execution of a new foundation by micropiles, the rehabilitation of structural elements of the slab, the repair and replacement of part of the roof, as well as the rehabilitation of the staircase, facade and finishes.

The rehabilitation will also include the redistribution of the spaces and uses of the station according to the current needs, the incorporation of new toilets adapted to people with reduced mobility, the cleaning and conditioning of the surroundings near the station building (both accesses from the square, such as the platform area and the surrounding gardens), the renovation of urban furniture and the consolidation of green spaces. Likewise, the repair or renovation of the carpentry, electricity, plumbing, sanitation and telecommunications facilities will be planned.

Finally, during the drafting of the project, the provisional situations during the execution of the work will be analyzed in order to have the least possible effect on the operation of the station during them.
