Singapore : NTU team develops super-fast chip

A new super-fast chip made by a team of Singapore scientists could make sharing movies through smartphones a snap.
The microchip can transmit data wirelessly 1,000 times faster than current Bluetooth technology - this means a two-hour movie would take just half a minute to share.
A library of songs can be copied in mere seconds.
The scientists at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), led by Professor Yeo Kiat Seng, associate chair of research at the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, said their breakthrough has attracted more than 10 multinational companies that want to manufacture the chip, or use it in their mobile devices.
