Singapore : Keppel unit snags $720m deal to build third rig for Maersk

A unit of Keppel Corp has secured a US$560 million (S$720 million) contract to build a repeat jackup rig for a unit of AP Moller Maersk.
Demand for rigs is still strong even though oil prices are coming down.
The GustoMSC CJ70 rig is the third such rig that Keppel Fels is building for Maersk Drilling Holdings Singapore, following an order for two rigs in February last year.
Maersk Drilling will also have an option to build an additional jackup rig of the same design, as part of this order.
