Saudi Arabia : BAHRA CABLES inks SUPPLY AGREEMENT on KAIA

Bahra Cables Company has inked a supply agreement for the redevelopment of King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) in Jeddah.

The affiliate of Construction Products Holding Company (CPC) announced that it has entered the deal with the company handling the revamp of KAIA.

Medium-voltage cable worth SR300 million ($80 million) will be supplied by Bahra Cables for the first phase of the project which will take 24 months to complete, as per the agreement.

By 2014, the improved Jeddah airport is expected to begin operations.

Saudi Arabia is also planning to invest about SR200 billion ($53.33 billion) in its aviation sector over the next five years.

By 2015, the Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for Civil Aviation is also planning to triple the capacity of King Khaled International Airport in Riyadh to 25m passengers.
