Iraq,United States : GLOBAL POWER bags gas turbines contract from SIEMENS

Braden operating division of US-based Global Power Equipment Group has won a contract from Siemens Energy.

The received contract is worth a €8m to provide gas turbine exhaust systems for the Khormala Phase I Combined Cycle Power Plant in the Northern Kurdistan area of Iraq.

Braden will be responsible to provide four complete gas turbine exhaust systems including diverter dampers.

Dean Glover, President of Global Power Products division stated that the company will be adding four new systems to its existing large installed base of equipment in Iraq. Glover added, “We are looking forward to working with Siemens on providing exhaust equipment for this new gas-fired power plant.”

He said, “Our truly global supply chain allows us to be the supplier of choice for projects in diverse locations around the world.”

Execution and the delivery of the product components is scheduled in late 2012 and early 2013 which will be done by Braden\'s European division.
