Canada,France : Bombardier wins US$417m rail car order

Bombardier Inc said its train unit won an order worth about US$417 million to supply 210 double-deck rail cars for the public transportation network in Paris.
Bombardier, the world\'s largest passenger-train maker, said the total order is valued at about US$1.3 billion. Bombardier is a consortium member responsible for one third of the order.
It will supply the rail cars to state-owned public transport operator RATP Group. In Paris, RATP operates under its own name on behalf of the Syndicat des transports d\'ÃŽle-de-France (STIF), the Paris region transit authority.
Deliveries will take place between 2014 and the end of 2016, Bombardier said in a statement.
