Singapore : STE\'s unit secured S$210m worth of deals in 2Q2012

Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd (ST Engineering) said on Thursday that its electronics sector, Singapore Technologies Electronics Limited (ST Electronics), won new contracts worth about S$210 million in the second quarter of 2012.
These involved its rail electronics, traffic management and satellite communications (satcom) and sensor solutions.
The company was awarded a S$98 million contract from Singapore\'s Land Transport Authority (LTA) to enhance the Expressway Monitoring & Advisory System (EMAS) equipment along eight expressways in Singapore which was announced in April 2012.
ST Electronics was also awarded a S$31.6 million contract by Singapore\'s Land Transport Authority (LTA) for the Tuas West Extension. Work on the project started in May 2012 and is expected to be completed by 2016.
