Bahrain : BANAGAS inks $15m EPC contract with JGULF

Bahrain National Gas Company (Banagas) has entered into an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) agreement with JGC Gulf International (JGULF) for de-bottlenecking its processing trains at the Central Gas Plant. The contract is worth a $15.42 million.
Mainly, the project aims at addressing the increased feed gas rates up to 18m standard cubic feet per day (mmscfd) from the Bahrain Refinery and maximise liquid recovery by 4,500 barrels per day.
The project would replace pumps, construct additional heat exchangers and would even re-size certain vessels.
Mechanical work on the project is scheduled for completion within a period of 23 months and the project is expected to be commissioned and enter into operations by May 2014.
