Incat Crowther announced that it has secured a contract to design a 25m Catamaran Wind Farm Service Vessel. At MMS Ship Repair in Hull, in the UK, the construction of the vessel has started.

The vessel is designed to meet an industry demand for increased cargo capacity and flexibility and will feature a large forward cargo deck which caters for a single 20-foot container, or a pair of 10 foot containers.

The passenger cabin will be able to house 12 technicians, with a galley, wet room, dive stores and bathroom.

The Turbine docking is also added with a concave fendering arrangement across the bow.

A pair of Caterpillar C32 Acert main engines will power the vessel, with each outputting 970kW (1300hp).

The vessel will also become a member of the “2 metre club.”
