Nigeria : BAUCHI enters agreement with CHINA MACHINERY and EQUIPMENT CORPORATION

Bauchi State Government announced that it has inked an agreement with China Machinery and Equipment Corporation in order to establish a power plant in the state.
The plant is expected to gulp $100 million, added the Commissioner for Power and Energy, Mr Yakubu Kirfi.
85 per cent of the funds will be provided by the company and the 15 per cent will be offered by the state government.
Soil test analyses have been conducted by the company at the project site at the cost of $326, 000.
Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) was carried out by Thematic Associate Nigeria Limited, Abuja.
Helios Energie also partnered with Federal Government in order to establish a Photo Voltaic Power Plant in Bauchi which will generate 20 to 30 megawatts of electricity.
The protocol for the development, construction and management of the plant was also inked by the parties involved.
