United States : UNION WORKERS approved ENTERGY CONTRACT
Publish Date : 10-Jul-2012
Union workers at the Pilgrim nuclear power plant announced that it has accepted a contract which is proposed by plant owner Entergy Corp.
The workers approved to ratify a new four-year contract after months of negotiations and a lockout.
A tentative deal was reached by the leaders of Utility Workers Union of America Local 369 and the Louisiana-based Entergy.
The new contract’s details are not disclosed.
After contract talks broke down on June 5, Entergy had locked out members of that union at Pilgrim. Over health care costs, salary and staffing, negotiations had stalled.
