Leading offshore energy services provider, Jaya Holdings Ltd, said on Friday that it has secured a US$84-million shipbuilding contract to deliver two vessels through its subsidiary Jaya Shipbuilding and Engineering Pte Ltd.
The two vessels were Anchor Handling Tug and Supply Vessels (AHTSV). One of them is considered one of the largest vessels being built by Jaya. Both are constructed for offshore support and are capable of oil rig towing and positioning, anchor handling, offshore oilfield supply, iceberg towing/ice management, and are ableto navigate in moderate level ice conditions and northern regions.
In May this year, the group also announced that it had won seven term charter contracts amounting to US$108.4 million to build five AHTSVs and two Support Vessels.
