India : DDC makes investment in hydel projects in NAWALPARASI

As per the reports, the District Development Committee, Nawalparasi has invested in alternate energy sector for construction of seven micro hydro projects demanded in hilly regions of Nawalparasi. The DDC invested Rs. 2.6 million in alternate energy this year for seven projects under construction in the district.
The projects are in Rucharkuwa, Bhartipur, Dandajheri, Dedhgaun, Naram and Jaubari VDCs in the hilly areas. Largest amount has been invested in micro hydro in the district in the current Fiscal year 2068-69 BS out of the total budget in energy sector.
The projects are of capacity ranging from 6-10 kws. Works of Rs. 4 million has been carried out in alternate energy in the district in the current fiscal year.
