Omantel’s has achieved the globally recognized ISO 27001 certification on Information Security for the Fixed Line Internet, hosting services and has maintained compliance for MPLS for the second consecutive year.

The internal controls of Omantel have been streamlined in compliance with the ISO 27001 standard, thus customers of Omantel using the these services will have a reasonable assurance on the information security practices and controls implemented by Omantel surrounding the fixedline internet including ADSL and Internet leased line ,hosting and MPLS services. Omantel is committed to improving the security of information surrounding the various business services offered to customers.

Omantel Chief Executive, Dr Amer Al-Rawas quoted, “This achievement shows the commitment of Senior Management towards information security and in providing a secure environment for our clients. We are one of few telecom service providers in the region who have achieved ISO 27001 certification on business services being offered to the clients. It is indeed a proud moment for Omantel to achieve this certification.” This achievement demonstrates the commitment of Omantel to provide reliable and secure services to our customers. ISO 27001 will be a business advantage for Omantel in strengthening security management in the organization.
