United States : KINDER MORGAN ENERGY inks HOUSTON deal with BP PLC

On Thursday, a midstream services firm, Kinder Morgan Energy Partners LP has announced that the London-based BP Plc.\'s Houston-based branch, BP North America, has entered into a deal for using Kinder Morgan’s terminals at the Houston Ship Channel for condensate processing services.

BP has decided to commit over 40,000 barrels of oil per day to Houston-based Kinder Morgan’s facility, which would split condensate into components like kerosene and gas.

Paul Reed, chief cxecutive of BP’s integrated supply and trading business, stated that, \"BP is proud to participate in a project that helps unlock additional domestic energy production and offers US Producers an alternative home for their condensate barrels.\"

Tom Bannigan, president of Kinder Morgan’s products pipelines, stated, \"We are pleased to enter into these contracts with BP, which reflect continued strong demand to bring Eagle Ford Shale production to the Gulf Coast.\"
