Singapore : PEC secures $65m worth of new contracts

PEC Ltd on Wednesday said it has secured a $65 million worth of contracts from new and existing clients.
The group was awarded a contract from major petrochemical producer, Petrochemical Corporation of Singapore (Private) Limited, to carry out piping, instrumentation and civil structural works for the Singapore Petrochemical Complex. Work is scheduled for completion by February 2013.
Separately, the group secured an engineering, procurement and construction contract from SembCorp Utilities and Terminals Pte Ltd to carry out works for its multi-utilities facilities at Banyan on Jurong Island. The project is expected to be completed by September 2013.
Additionally, PEC in its maiden deal with Sinopec Group\'s subsidiary, Sinopec Engineering & Construction (S) Pte Ltd, PEC will erect static and machinery equipment and the process furnace at Sinopec\'s 80,000 metric tonne lubricant plant in Singapore.
