Germany : Framework agreement with Dutch natural gas producer NAM expanded
Publish Date : 04-Aug-2012
The internationally active engineering specialist Tebodin, which has been part of the Bilfinger Berger Group since February 2012, has won a new major contract: together with partners Cofely and Hak Leidingbouw, the company, which is headquartered in the Hague, will take over the complete engineering as well as procurement and assembly work for all onshore facilities at NAM, the Netherlands\' largest producer of natural gas. Tebodin assumes responsibility for design and engineering technology while the partners will be responsible for construction and assembly work. The client, NAM, delivers more than 60 billion cubic meters of natural gas annually, representing about 75 percent of total gas production in the Netherlands.
The framework agreement, which has been expanded from previous contracts, will run for a period of five years. The consortium will provide services valued at several hundred million euros over the term of the contract.
Tebodin, with its 3,200 employees and an annual output volume of €225 million, is a leading European provider of engineering and consulting services. The company delivers engineering services that include general and detailed planning of plants as well as project management, procurement and construction supervision. Tebodin works for more than 150 prominent international companies in the oil and gas and process industries, energy production and environmental technology. The regional focus is on Europe, the Middle East and the Asia Pacific region.
Engineering technology services within Bilfinger Berger\'s industrial services business have reached a new dimension with the recent acquisition of Tebodin. Within the Group, the company forms the basis for the establishment of a new Subgroup that will grow further in the future.
