Pan-United Corporation Ltd said on Wednesday that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Pan-United Concrete Pte Ltd, has been awarded $41.5 million worth of ready-mixed concrete supply contracts.

The contracts awarded by China Railway 11 Bureau Group Corporation (Singapore Branch) and Shanghai Tunnel Engineering Co Ltd, is for the Tuas West Extension project.

The Tuas West Extension, to be ready in 2016, is an extension of the East-West Line from Joo Koon Station to include four aboveground stations - Gul Circle, Tuas Crescent, Tuas West Road and Tuas Link.

The contracts will generate revenue and profit contribution over the contractual periods but are not expected to have any material effect on the earnings per share of the company or the group for the current financial year ending December 31, 2012.
