China,Singapore : Midas\' JV wins US$221.04m rail contracts in China

Midas Holdings Limited on Tuesday said its joint venture company, Nanjing SR Puzhen Rail Transport Co, Ltd, has won two metro contracts in the People\'s Republic of China worth a combined 1.4 billion yuan (US$221.04 million).
The first contract was awarded by Wuxi Rail Transport Development Co Ltd for the supply of 23 train sets, or 138 train cars, for the Wuxi Metro Line 2 Project.
Delivery for this contract is slated to take place from 2013 to 2014 and is expected to contribute positively to the group\'s financial performance for the financial years ending 2013 to 2014.
The second contract was awarded by Hangzhou Metro Group Co Ltd for the supply of 27 train sets, or 162 train cars, for the Hangzhou Metro Line 2 Project.
