United States : LOCKHEED bags contract modifications

Fort Worth’s Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co. received a contract modification worth around $80 million to take up the production of six F-35 Lightning II Full Mission Simulators.
With this contract, Lockheed will even have to upgrade radar at Hill Air Force Base in Utah, supporting F-35 radar cross-section testing.
According to the contract, 35% of the work is to be carried out in Fort Worth; 25% in El Segundo, Calif.; 20% in Warton, United Kingdom; 10% in Orlando, Fla.; 5% in Nashua, N.H.; and balance 5% in and Baltimore.
Additionally, Lockheed even secured a $25.9 million contract modification for taking up hardware or software changes for Air Force F-35 aircraft arising from the development effort. This work is to be executed in Fort Worth.
Lockheed even bagged a $10.35 million contract for F-22 program support work, which will be conducted in Fort Worth; Marietta, Ga.; and at Air Force bases.
