Singapore : Nam Cheong gets 2 PSV contracts worth US$52.1m

SHIPBUILDER Nam Cheong Limited on Wednesday said its wholly-owned subsidiary, Nam Cheong International Ltd, has secured sale contracts worth US$52.1 million (S$64 million) for two platform-supply vessels (PSVs).

The two are being built under the group\'s built-to-stock series in two of Nam Cheong\'s subcontracted yards in China.

One of the vessels is a 3,000 dead-weight tonne (dwt) PSV that is 75 m long; the other is a 5,000 dwt PSV measuring 87 m. Both are ABS-class vessels and equipped with Dynamic Positioning 2 system.

The vessels, scheduled for delivery in first quarter of next year, are being sold to two new West Africa customers engaged in the business of offshore marine services, engineering and construction services.
